Set up tax rates

Add tax rates and set a default that auto-applies to new estimates and invoices.

Set your tax rates once and Fieldsity applies them to estimates and invoices automatically — no math on every quote.

Who can do this: Admins, Managers, and Dispatchers.

Add a tax rate

Go to Settings → Company → Tax rates.

  1. Enter a Name (for example, "WI Sales Tax") and the Tax Rate %.

  2. Tick Set as default if this should apply automatically to new estimates and invoices.

  3. Click Add New Rate.

Your rates appear in the list below, with the default clearly marked.

Tip: Add a 0% "Labor (Non-Taxable)" rate for work that isn't taxed. Then you can pick the right rate per line without doing the math by hand.
