What's the difference between a job and a visit?

A job is the overall service record; visits are individual scheduled appointments within it.

  • A Job is the overall service record (e.g., "Install new HVAC system"). It tracks scope, line items, costs, invoicing, and payment.

  • A Visit is a single scheduled appointment within a job. One job can have many visits.

Think of it as: the job is the project, visits are the individual trips to the site.
