Create and schedule your first job

Book your first job — client, details, workers, schedule, and line items in one guided flow.

A job is the work you've agreed to do — who it's for, what it involves, and when it happens. Fieldsity walks you through booking one in a single guided flow.

Who can do this: Admins, Managers, and Dispatchers.

Start the job

From the Hub, click New job:

The Book a job flow opens, with its seven steps down the left side. First up: pick the client and the property where the work happens.

Describe the work and pick the team

  1. Job details — choose a job type, name the job, and set how long a visit takes.

  2. Workers — choose who's doing it, or leave it to any available worker.

Pick the date and time

The schedule step showing a month calendar with visit dots and the day's bookings

The calendar shows how busy each day already is — the dots under a date are existing visits, and the panel below lists that day's bookings so you can see what you're scheduling around. Pick a day, then a time. Fieldsity offers slots that fit inside your business hours; you can also Choose custom time, or press Schedule later? to book the job without a time yet.

Note: Not ready to finish? Save draft keeps your progress — the job waits for you under Draft jobs on your Hub.

Recurrence, line items, and confirm

  1. Recurrence — one-off (Does not repeat) or repeating on a schedule. A recurring job gets a visit for every occurrence.

  2. Line items — add the services and prices from your pricebook. These become the invoice later.

  3. Confirm — review everything, with an Edit button next to each section, and click Create job.

Once booked, the visit shows on your Calendar and in Up next on your Hub.

When the work's done, billing takes a minute — see Send your first invoice and get paid.
